Healy Racing PhotosGer Lyons recorded his 15th winner of the season at Dundalk after his charge Rockazar carried top weight to win the ‘3 For Free’ - Wednesdays Night in November Apprentice Handicap.

Emmett McNamara hit the front on the Opening Verse gelding inside the final furlong and kept on well to hold off the late challenge of Lord Kenmare by a short head.

Shane Lyons brother of winning trainer said afterwards: “He must of known he was going into retirement if he didn’t win.”

Healy Racing PhotosAustin Leahy made the long journey from Limerick worthwhile after his charge Willyconker landed the Crowne Plaza Race & Stay Package Nursery Handicap in the hands of Gary Carroll.

Carroll produced the son of Pyrus to lead over one furlong out and the pair kept on well to hold off the challenge of Majestic Pearl by a neck.

A delighted Leahy said afterwards: “It certainly made the journey up here worthwhile. "

Dotada scores for Casey

Latham raced the Noverre filly in rear and made his progress on the outside to join leaders from over two furlongs out.

The pair kept on well to lead inside the final furlong for a half length win over Invincible Ash.

Francis Casey son of the winning trainer said afterwards: “I think he’s a seven furlong or mile horse and Keagan seemed to think so too even though he won over five furlongs.”
